From Competition to Design Development
TURZEN supported Tromsø Cultural Quarter from the competition-winning proposal through post-award design development, maintaining a coherent visual language as the architecture evolved.
-
Tromsø Cultural Quarter brings the Arctic Philharmonic and the Northern Norway Art Museum together in a new cultural destination in central Tromsø. The winning proposal, Samklang, comprises two cultural houses within a luminous protective shell, centred on a shared lobby where music, performance, art and public life meet.
-
TURZEN developed the architectural visualizations for the winning competition proposal. The image series communicated the project’s relationship with the city, harbor and Arctic landscape, while establishing a distinct visual identity for its cultural and public spaces.
-
Following the competition win, TURZEN continued working with the design team through post-award design development. Exterior and interior images evolved with the architecture, covering the public realm, shared lobby, performance spaces and museum environments.
